Inside Kensley's: white walls, a dark green ceiling hung with rattan pendant lamps, a tiled counter with a pastry case, cane chairs and a row of tables along the windows.
The Kensley's Açaí and Café storefront in Cahoon Commons: a brick front, a round black sign with a white coral, and the name in raised silver letters over the glass doors of unit 140.

Puerto Rico, by way of Grassfield.

Kensley's is a veteran-owned café that brews 100% Puerto Rican coffee and builds its bowls on açaí, coconut and passion fruit. The bowls carry the names of beaches on the island, the sandwiches come on pan sobao, and the quesitos sell out.

The room is bright and easy: rattan lamps under a green ceiling, a tiled counter, cane chairs by the windows, and a case of muffins, bombas and brownies that changes with the day. Come for a cortado at six in the morning, a bowl after the gym, or a late breakfast that runs into lunch.
